Shane J. Prate is an Associate Attorney at Enchantment Legal, bringing a wide range of legal experience and a thoughtful, client-centered approach to his work.

Background & Education

Originally from South Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia, Shane graduated from Rutgers University in 2012 and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School in 2017. During law school, he gained valuable experience as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Angelo DiCamillo in New Jersey and at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Superfund Enforcement Office in Washington, D.C.

Legal Experience

Following graduation, Shane built a diverse legal background across multiple areas of practice:

• Law Office of Dennis Riley (South NJ) – General practice, assisting a wide range of clients.

• Rosenberg & Estis (New York City) – Gained insight into complex real estate law and litigation.

• MetLife Insurance (New York City) – Supported the Securities Law and Corporate Governance team, including work with securities lawyers and the Board of Directors.

In 2023, Shane relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico to join Enchantment Legal, where he continues to apply his broad experience to help clients navigate legal challenges with confidence.

Personal Interests

Shane quickly fell in love with New Mexico’s sunny days and dry climate—though he hasn’t yet chosen sides in the red vs. green chile debate (he usually orders Christmas).

A proud Philadelphia sports fan, Shane passionately roots for the Eagles (GO BIRDS!), as well as the Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers. Since moving to Albuquerque, he’s also enjoyed supporting local teams, including the Lobos and Isotopes.
